well cool bag. yeah ok, the 66 version doesn't fit boards over 158 in the extra board section but with a bit of quick thinking you soon realise that this section is perfect for putting snowgear, jackets and pants etc leaving the main compartment to fit as many boards as you like ! but you want to put any more than 3 in there unless your name is jeff capes or big daddy.
once that's sorted you can fit boots, a couple of blanks and a complete set-up which strap in tighly with fastenings. then on top of that you can put everything else you own and just when you think you've overpacked, it miraculously zips shut with enough baggy areas for you wooly hat collection! |

| Strengths |
| quality construction, strong, good wheels, looks cool. |

|
roof rack strap system. genius once you work it out. no other means of fastening is required.
stretchy zip area.

|
| Weaknesses |
| try lifting the c*nt after you've packed. |

I've got the 166 and it fits all my stuff in quite nicely, (although I do only ride a super short 151). Board, bindings, boots, pants, jacket, googles, gloves, wrist guards, impact shorts, socks and with plenty of room to spare for another set up.
As for the actual bag construction, there's a nice stretchy area round the zips, so if you do cram as much as physically possibly in, the zips shouldn't break or come undone. A couple of detachable bags inside for your boots, a pocked on the outside and a board storage pocket that's seperate to the main compartment so you can store a spare deck (or 2) without bindings. Excellent wheels as well, will make airport travel a lot less stressful. There is a roof rack thingy with it as well, so you can attach it to that somehow, although I'm not entirely sure how it works. This can be taken off (which mine has been) if you don't need it, to create a bit more space.
To add a bit more having actually used it to travel, I wouldn't want this bag any bigger than it is. On the way back from the US it was crammed basically as full as it could be and was right on the airlines weight limit, so Burton were spot on with the size as far as that goes. |

Err.
I bought the 166cm version. I have a 159 and a 160 board.
Now my maths isn't great but I expected my 159 board to fit in the lower zippered board section. But it doesn't. It's about 4cm too long.
If it's got 166 written in big numbers on the bag it's for boards UP to 166cm right? I've emailed Burton about this but n*body wants to know.
Shame. This is a lovely bag otherwise. Check that your board fits before buying! |
