| Review Detail |
Although the quality of Blacklight is a little dubious compared to more recent slicker movies, it does have a genuine feel and is really enjoyable. There are some impressive stunts, mostly air and some mad ones too - like snowboarding across a lake or transferring over a road with oncoming traffic!
There aren''t a lot of rails on this film, perhaps showing it''s age a little. Also I didn''t recognise many riders. Gian Simmen being probably the most well known. |
|
| Strengths |
| What Blacklight lacks in budget, it more than makes up for in imagination and humour. The format, a series of sketches intercut with riding, is really well done and very funny. |
|
| Weaknesses |
| This is little more than a VHS transferred to disc and as such the picture quality isn''t really up to DVD standard. However with so few snowboarding dvds to choose from, especially in Region 2, dvd owners can''t really bitch about it. At least the producers have thought about DVD owners. |
