Saw them last year n liked the look, liked the peak and my old lid had taken some hits so I splashed the cash.

There is no venting so I was fearful that I had gone for style over functionality, but even on roasting spring days, this has held up well - not sweaty head at all. You also have the ption to pull out knitted liner and insert a summer liner.
Strengths
secure warm and stylish as well as being a bit different from the norm
Weaknesses
some might find it a bit hot but I didn't

I decided to buy a helmet after falling bashing my head quite hard on some ice. Looked at lots of helmets including Red, Protec and Giro but decided on the Bern as it looks cool! Mine is matt white which is probably not the most practical colour for me, but it to be honest I've used it quite a bit now and it's still in good condition.

I would recommend you spend the extra fiver and buy the knitted liner which fits in with poppers and velcro - keeps your ears and forhead toasty in the same way as a beanie. The one thing that I thought might be a negative was that there were no vents - however, when you take the liner out, the air circulates around your head anyway so I didn't get too clammy.

As said previously, this helmet feels a bit snugger than others of the same size e.g. RED but it wasn't uncomfortable.

Can't compare this to any other helmets - but it did have many admirers in my chalet. Thankfully I didn't require it's services when I've worn it - trust it will keep my head in one piece if called upon!!
Strengths
-Protects your head
-Peak stops snow getting in the vents at the top of your goggles
-Liner keeps you warm
-Not too hot when you take the liner out
-Looks pretty cool
-Comes in a selection of colours
-Choice of 1 or 2 goggle clips - mine stayed secure with one
-Not many other people have it
Weaknesses
-Some posh girl said it looked like a horse riding helmet
-Choose a colour other than white if you have grubby fingers
-Never ridden with a helmet with vents, but people prone to a sweaty head may need them!

Review Detail
Not ridden in this yet as I just got it a couple of weeks back, so I'll post a full review once I get back in a few weeks time.

Things I can say right now though:

Fit - feels good, but a little tighter than my, notionally same-sized, Bad Lieutenant and sits differently too. I think I was trying to jam it too far down on my head though, cause when you get some goggles on as well the fit feels fine.

Construction - The foam is pretty unusual, but it's supposed to be super effective at cooling you and should dry well too as the lid is dsigned to be used in canoeing, wakeboarding and biking as well as boarding. It feels comfy and look slike it'll provide good protection in a fall - hopefully I won't be able to comment on that! It's not the bike helmet kind that most lids seem to be though, but something that's formed from lots of beads of foam.

Features - Comes with two, interchangeable, goggle retention devices, so you can have the gap at the top or bottom or use both to make sure those goggs NEVER come off. Doesn't have ear pieces as standard, but it does come with a thin synthetic mesh beanie which can cover your ears on cold days and goes under the lid. From trying it on this seems to work, but I'll let you know if, or when, I've used it. Looking at the website, you can get other beanies and ear pads for it if you need them.

Styling - not many lids suit me (awwwwww). Don't know what it is, but most just look awful. This is nicely low profile and seems to work for me. Plus the peak gives it that whole baseball helmet style which looks awesome.

Like I say, I'll make amendments and expand on my thoughts once I've ridden it over the next few weeks.
