Review Detail
Las Lenas is an excellent place to board in South America, although expensive by argentinian standards it is still cheap as chips for anyone who earns sterling. The day I turned up there had been a dump 2 days previously and there was acres of untracked powder still. Unfortunately due to the hot sunny weather it soon melted and then turned to a hard crust when it got cold again. If the snow is good here you can basically board whereever you like so it offers a lot of freedom. One bad thing is the quality of boarding, you get these nutters going totally out of control straight down the slope which is funny to watch of you are on lift but not so funny if you are baording down next to them as they only seem to be able to stop by crashing into something. The resort has some good bars and restaurants and the highest casino in the world. The people are really friendly and the food is excellent and sooo cheap. Dinner with wine would cost about £20 for 3 ( rate at time I went was 5.5peso to £ ). Beers cost 1.5peso which is 27p

Strengths
Cheap, loads of runs, if you get on slopes early ( lifts open anytime from 7:30am to 8am ) you will have the whole mountian to yourself, the slopes only get busy after 10:30am
|
Weaknesses
High winds shut the lifts quite frequently which means you get massive queues later in the day after about 11am.
