Review Detail
When first riding with any back guard, it feels very un-natural and quite restrictive compared to without. One advantage of this guard is the fit and it very soon the foam padding matches your natural shape and settles into the correct postion(providing of course you have te right length).

Available in two sizes I have got the large as I'm 6'2. This 5 plate guard has a wide waist band, with a velcro closure about 4 inches deep and also elasticated velcro side adjusters to alter the tension around the middle. The top section of the guard is kept in place with adjustable braces which prevent the guard riding too low on your back.

I have already had a couple of falls, but not enough to fully test the effectiveness of the guard (yet). Wearing it does give you a touch more confidence either when your getting back into riding again or thinking of pushing onto new bigger and larger tricks on hard objects.
Strengths
* Does not ride up your back, as a couple of others have done when tested.
* Warm, not hot when in the dome, and will be perfectly fine en plein air.
* Price - seems to be a reasonable balance compared to some on the market, but not so cheap that you would think some elements of its construction are being compromised
* Anatomical profile - the plates are larger than some I have seen, but have varying sizes to match the curvature of the spine

* (It keeps your gut in!);)
Weaknesses
* None thus far
