I wouldn't normally do a blatant pimp, but here goes - 2 bed/2 bath condo in Whistler...

When are you looking at going?

Really?

January is CAN$325/night = CAN$2,275 (I'm leaving off GST since a) it goes to the government and b) everyone has to charge it)
Using today's exchange rate from xe.com gives £1,199, so lets say £1,250 to allow for fluctuations
It sleeps 6, so thats £210pp for a 7 night week (or £315pp if there's 4 of you) and that's before any GBr discounts, which would generally knock it down by another 5-10%.

Bearing in mind that the condo is only 5mins walk from the lifts thats not too bad IMHO. We aim at a mid-market price when compared to the other owner-direct rentals on Allura, VRBO, ResortAC etc

In the past, I've got return flights for £350-400pp, and transfers for £70pp, so it often comes out quite a bit cheaper than a lot of the holiday companies.

PS The rental income has to pay the mortgage, so I can't make it free I'm afraid

It's a great spot, I've stayed there.

Imagine Whistler will be heaving in this olympic year.

Unless everyone assumes that and stays away... in which case it could be empty!

Imagine Whistler will be heaving in this olympic year.

I think that during February it will be packed in the village itself (i.e. for accomodation, eating, drinking etc.) but that the slopes will be pretty quiet since the bulk of visitors won't be riding. I reckon January/March could go either way, either being quiet because people will be staying away due to the Olympics or busy with people thinking that it will be quiet due to reverse psychology. Outside of those months I think it will be pretty normal.
