Actors and others take money from companies and in exchange they pretend that they use and like the company's products. It's called "advertising", and it's not illegal in most of the world at the moment.

It looks a bit forced sometimes....prolly to do that he was mostly doing hard sh*t. Even I tend to lose a smidgin of form when 450 on 450 off.

Sick methods and interestin blunt slidey type things he had going.

Sorry dude gotta disagree that is just a different type of style. Its like when Rynolds and the skinny jeans crew took over the baggy skate look and it all turned into skinny jeans and scruffy tramp jumpers. That there is the future of snowboard style.

I am straight up old school baggy pants and oversized beanie guy, so i'm not a skinny pant, Burley tech rider sticking up for my kind but thought that dude was amazin!!!

volcom-boards now not just outerwear and their getting boards made in the mervin factory.

I've just been watching a video of Zac Marben on one. at least Gigi will add some style. the guy in the vid is doing to quite tech sh*t but he's just so style-less. and it's not just his hobo get-up

I haven't been on burtons site since they put the new gear up in august i noticed that JP & RDM were off the team

Do you know why?

I'm sure his new sponsor will give him more than £30000 a year

Actually it is very much against the law, it breaks all sorts of trading standards laws about false advertising and misleeding the customer. Problem is its pretty impossible to prove what they happened to be using in any given photo. Unless they have hit squads to turn up and test the riders gear randomly

Let's not forget that these riders have in fact ridden the board in question, it's just not the one they use all the time. Think of it as a loophole.

@SSK - The blurbs I've heard about SW's 10 year Burton deal are ridiculous. It makes perfect sense that Burton dropped so many big names this year as I'm sure Shaun will soon be able to afford most third world countries.

@recon - Haven't ridden the BMC so can't tell you what I think. Dupraz has several different models. There is no point in looking at the 5' 5" as it is made for little girls and midgets. The 6' comes in normal, +, and ++ with each + adding stiffness. I'm just shy of 13 stone and the + is perfect although you may want to go up if you weigh more. Even the normal 6' (178) rides fine and I don't find it as soft on the tail as many freeride boards.

I would think your right on that one

I can see grills point if this were a Rally Car forum but we're talking about planks made from metal wood plastic and sh*t

i'd ride a wild duck board if they were giving me £30,000 a year and paying for my winter fun and i reckon gigi and ginger balls are getting more than that from jakey boy

Recon, for the love of god! It's the return key on your keyboard

Tiger woods uses a much softer version of the One he advertises. So soft it lasts one round.
There's nothing illegal about it, though - well, there can't be if it gets past advertising regulators and the dreaded r + a!

microsoft paid EVA longaria and he hubby to appear in an advert using windows and saying how great it is. Of course, they use macs in real life, like sensible people! It's not against the law, it's business

Though that example doesn't use a snowboard company, it does show that people are frequently paid to promote an object they don't use at all, and that se
