hey

You want your boots to be as tight as possible without curling your toes up... they should hurt for the first few days but they will get more comfortable the more you ride. 3 seasons ago I was weraing size 11.5 (uk) - I'm now wearing a 10!

Boots pack out (get bigger) the more you ride so if they're comfortable in the shop they are almost certainly too big. Wear your boots for a week or 2 of riding and eat alot of ibuprofen - chances are they'll be the perfect size after a week or 2 on the hill

Peace

The first post was understandable and we all make mistakes. I'm not sure why people are making it such an issue.

try www.dictionary.com or spellchecker then

By the way it's not about being perfect. I have several friends that have dyslexia and they find ways to deal with it. By the way dyslexia doesn't cause you write the word "coz" in place of "because"

By the way It pisses me off when anyone writes in "text" talk regardless of whether they have dyslexia or not.

You may go a size up for snowboard boots due to the fact you wear thick socks for riding....

But depending of brand, you can get different sizes

maybe a mention of dyslexia would have been more informative?

to those who replied thanks...im sure he really appreciated the answer to the question he was actually asking...

and for those other ignorant pricks, how thick are u!! have u ever heard of the word DYSLEXIA. clearly not...so open your eyes to the world because it seems not everyone is as 'perfect' as you are..

he is not dwelling on the fact that he cant spell..all he wanted was more information on a subject he didnt know much about...

lets just hope u have a kid one day who has dyslexia and see how u deal with it...

Do they? Personally I think that's a snowboarding myth.

Yes it probably is a myth. I was told it in a shop and heard it mention a few times on forums. That particular myth might have helped the OP choose boots that fitted him/her properly. It would make an interesting poll to see what size boot people wear compared to regular shoes/trainers. The best advice is try them on and have a walk around and then a bit of pretend snowboarding!

Most people go up a size for boots. Its worth trying on loads of different sizes and see what works for you. Like trainers and shoes different companies sizes can be different.

so PC, not a mention of the spelling
but the advice is spot on

I think the last sentence for me says it all - the awareness of poor spelling.

If you know you are poor at something then do something about it, don't make excuses or have excuses made for you.

Sorry, but far too much is blamed these days on lack of opportunities, noone did anything for me, nothing to do in the evening, dyslexia makes my spelling rubbsh, too much junk food.... how about responsibility for your own life and taking a few leaps yourself to improve things.

(high horse has been dismounted)

About those boots - surely, as when buying normal shoes you try them on and think "are they comfortable?"
I don't need to shout about what qualifications I have got and haven't got, I know I'm good!
