The waxing bit was easy and there is a lovely layer setting now for a few hours before I scrape it off.
However the edgeing part I'm a little confused as to if I've done it enough.
I used my damp stone to get off all the burrs as instructed and then used the sharpening tool.
And I marked the edge with a black marker so I knew how much I'd acconplished with the sharpening.
I did it to 88o as I want to start hitting rails and I can see/feel the bevel which is fine and sharpish (It wont cut my finger or anything but you can tell the difference from the detuned tips certainly).
My problem is that there were some dinks and scratchs around the edges which were so deep I'd have to keep filing away untill I'm nearly at the board with hardly any edge left if I wanted to get rid of them.
Surely I'm not supposed to keep going that far am I? I'm just supposed to do what I've done and get it as smooth as I can without taking off serious amounts of steel?
