Same difference, same problems. - I've been a ghost today - I've been logged in for most of the day, but try to spot me on the Who's on? page. - I'm not there!!!

I thought it was the same server/hardware, just being hosted else where that he has to pay for- as I think he was getting it for free from hos work! I could be wrong though

Thats an old post...now the sites hosted on a different server that Starnzy actually has to pay for.

I've also noticed its been slow today, but i should be working anyways so every error page sends me to do work!

Maybe Starnzy should post a sticky in the site Faq page that says why its so slow so we don't get asked all the time!

I think its a combination of:

- GB's popularity
- The other sites hosted on the same server(s)
- The limited funds available for the hosting (more money = faster servers and more bandwidth)

The combination of these means that it fluctuates quite a bit though, some times its like a greased whippet, other times its like Jonny Vegas at the end of a marathon!

So basically its coz Starnzy has done such a good job, the goneboarding forums are soooooo damn popular! :p

At certain times things are slow but recently the site has been working a bit quicker (except tonight).

Does anyone else get frustrated with how slow the server is on here?
Definately not my connection as any other web pages load at proper broadband speed.
