Thats a shame, almost all resorts will be closed by then...
But fear not, where there's a glacier there is snow!! Or join a summer camp somewhere, there's plenty of them around... |

I have flights for 3 - 10 May to Geneva, and really wanted to find a resort closer than Tignes so was quite excited to hear Chamonix might still be open.
But everyone on other forums has told me to go to Tignes, as Cham will be pretty much be shut down by then.
Is Grand Montets suitable for beginners? my OH wants to learn to ski  |

Im hoping that the lifts are still running in ares of chamonix........ cos thats where im going on the 1st of May. 
I have been told that the lifts are open until the 2nd weekend of May....if they dont I could have a quiet weekend. 
Have a look at the snow report for out there, they have got 465cm at 2800m, almost double what they had a month ago!!
For the record the lifts are due to close on the following dates,
-Le Tour, Brevent, Flegere; 27th April.
Note the Flegere Cable car, plus Trapp and Index chair will run until the 5th May
-Grands Montets 11th May
-The Midi is not due to close |

Most places are having their last weekend this weekend, and I was wondering if any places go on into May?
