Maybe if people had learnt to use the quote function, by deleting what didn't need to be quoted.

Really? I don't remember that...

Do we have the written evidence to hand?

If I did surely its all Starnzy's fault for listening to me?! No one listens to me!

Sorry Bob, you're getting the flak for this and to be honest it was something I've been meaning to implement for ages. I'll take the blame, I can handle it....

Still no joy with Firefox on my Mac, but works fine with Safari. I know - everyone will tell me to get a PC with IE instead....

Starnzy - any chance the Quoted text could automatically appear in Italic ? Not sure what the general census is, but I think quotes looks better in Italic.

Hmm, I'd not recommend IE at all Firefox on a PC though looks great mate Any chance you could send me a screenshot or 3 to my @GONEboarding.co.uk address please mate so I can see what you mean? Unfortunately I don't have access to a MAC to check it out at the moment.

Re, Italics, I can change it very easily, I did try it the other night but in this font I wasn't sure about it to be honest. I'll stick it on the dev server and if it grows on me I'll give it a go on live

apparently, it was your suggestion to ditch the reply button, in favour of the !"quote" function...

Cheers

Sorry the site is running a bit slow at the moment - I'm fixing all that historic data in the background; it'll probably be left running over night but as of the morning the only quotes you should see are in any new posts, and posts made from the point I put the amended code live around 7-8pm this evening. All content prior to that will be how it used to be displayed.

Starnzy, have to say the site rocks, so clear and easy to read/use compared with some forums. And the enhancements have made it even better.

Cheers.
