It's going to be a good while before you are attaining the sort of speeds that anything other than a jibtastic noodle is going to feel unstable at.
You may be over thinking things... but hey, it's fun eh? |

5 out of ten is quite soft though....no board is a 1, it would fall apart in your hands and look like a dali clock! Even the www which is supposed to be the softest board in exsistence is a 4. |

QUOTE (kincaidston - 05/08/2008 @ 13:37:21) at the size of board you are looking at, your background in martial arts (guessing fairly decent leg muscles), and your weight then i believe that you shouldn't be getting too hung up on it also combine that with the full moon and wearing yellow pants while chanting the shinto call to prayer we should be fine!!
cheers K

| Level 5....I would have said then it was middle of the road, soft....but stiff enough that you wont outgrow it too quickly so to speak. |

yeah that's another thing? if stiffness is the enemy of the beginner would that not be a problem that the Hatchet is level 5? (1= very soft, 10= very stiff) and as a freestyle board too? you can surely understand that all this can be very contradictory and confusing to a noobie
