I've got Rome bindings (Madisons) and I reckon the cap strap on them would work fairly well whatever the toebox of your boot is like - they're made of rubber with a kind of waffle pattern/texture, so they stretch to fit and stay put pretty well. I've got Salomon boots and found the capstraps on the Burton and Salomon bindings I demoed slipped constantly, the Rome ones slipped about twice in almost two weeks' use and that was cos I didn't do them up tightly enough. I think the Ride bindings (or at least some of them) have a similar toe strap.

Cheers guys... yeah seen next years 390's.. pretty tidy. I've also heard rave reviews about Union for next season to... all my mates that have seen or demo'd the new stuff are going mental about some crazy new bidding that only touches your board something like 20% of the binding base. meant to make for better feel on torsional flex or summink??

Does anyone now a south coast or close Union stockist i can go and pester?

What are the ride toe/cap straps like do they work as cap straps? Ride look like they've up'd their binding game now... nice and simple and no longer weigh 2 tons.

I may be wrong but I think the capstraps available at present are on the Union Force, Rides, Rome, Burton & Technines (there are probably more but these are the only ones i know about). My DKIVs are awesome with my Flight Migs, though may be too stiff for what you are after, but they dont fit the technine MFMs at all (boot too wide), so you prob need to look as Unions, Romes and a softer Ride offering?
wake me up, when september ends...

Glad you're happy with the DK's - looks like they become the Andreas Wiig next season since DK left to join Nike.

I ride DK4's with Rome 390's and find that super comfy. Worth trying maybe.

Recently bought a pair of the DK5... Comfiest boots ever... problem being because they were soooo comfy it was an instinct buy and they dont really work with my Forum platform bindings. The cap strap lifts up all the time and then its loose over the top of my toes ended up wearing them as standard straps in the end. They worked really well with my TM2's but they have a smooth toe cap.

Any recomendations of bindings that go well with the DK5's? I like my bindings flexy enough to really tweak but solid enough to ride pretty much everywhere... Oh and I prefer cap straps to toe straps. Not a huge Burton fan either. Pefer something that everyone hasnt got.

Ideas on a postcard to... na seriously HELP PLEASE
