Cheers for the info - if it doesn't include Banff I'm not overly worried but sure it'll help a few GB'ers out. |

It is yeah, and just realised Neilson thing is for Xmas bookings. Also, I checked the Inghams one and doesn't list any Canadian resorts, sorry.
But if you still want a look it might be easier to PM me an email address, as I can send the mail complete with links across for you then.

Sounds like a good deal on the passes but guessing it's only if you book the holiday at the same time ? We're already booked for Banff but have a punt on lift passes if they're on offer.
Any chance you can paste the info from the email into this thread please as I can't see the offer online. |

| Revision #1 (Last edited: 25/09/2008 @ 17:01:17) |
Anyone thinking about booking an Inghams trip soon, they have a 25-50% discount on lift passes booked over this weekend.
Must book between 8am tomorrow and 6pm Monday and it's available for travel between 03/01/09-08/02/09 and 21/02/09-29/03/09. (Not every resort)
EDIT: Just to add that I've also had an email saying Neilson are offering one pound lift passes on some bookings until 8th october. Bet that ain't for Banff !!! |

I didn't think about posting the freshers weeks. I got an email from a company about this but deleted it.
As i get all the emails from crystal, Thomson, Inghams about the latest offers.
I see two for one lift passes seem to be popular offer at the moment. |

| Yeah, I looked for a boarding version but got no real joy from the operators. They are pushing it direct rather than through the trade, so wasn't much info being imparted. |

They did offer this with snowboarding. My brother and 2 of my friends did it in January 2002 in Pas de la Casa. Unfortunately we had to stay at the Catsby! |

I apologise in advance for promoting any form of two-plank activity here, but this could be quite a good deal if anyone thinking of going away in Jan is looking to learnt to ski:
Fresher Ski Week
Limited to certain weeks, but offers free lessons, lift pass, etc. You need to book direct with the particular operator on their dedicated phone line.
Don't think it has been posted before.

| Not sure if you already check them for mountain accommodation, but Med Hotels have just launched a load of new locations for this winter. They now offer resorts in Bulgaria, France, Switzerland, Andorra, Austria and Italy. Here's their website. |

Sorry to be spreading crap news all the time but it all seems like that at the moment. Anyway, heard these today:
The price of ski holidays for next year has risen by around 7-8 per cent compared with last season but bookings have not yet been affected, according to Crystal Ski. Managing Director Mathew Prior said the increasing price of fuel and the poor sterling/euro exchange rate had left companies with no choice but to put prices up. Adding “But there are good early booking offers to temper the effects. However, you can’t get away from the fact that prices have had to rise. For US trips, the rises are slightly smaller.” ______________________________________________________________________________
As of 24th July Neilson will be increasing their prices in conjunction with the new edition of their ski brochure. (Not been told by how much yet sorry.) ______________________________________________________________________________
The soaring cost of fuel and heightened environmental concerns has led to healthy half year results for Eurostar. The cross channel operator reports a 24.7% increase on ticket sales between January and June this year compared to last with traveller numbers reaching 4.63 million, an 18.3% year-on-year increase.
(But that's before paying Mosh'n Ride enough to fund the new boarding gear !! (Read Struggle to not buy gear and Snow train threads.)) ______________________________________________________________________________
Hope they are of interest and that I will have something more positive to say soon. Tell me if you would rather I shut up and not add this stuff !!
