There have been some conversations in the past on here about using threadlock. I think the loctite 222 has been mentioned before as being okay. I picked up some from Halfords in a pritt stick style.

Hi jimny, not sure about the Cartel's in terms of materials used but you'ld be looking for something like loctite 222. Your best bet is to find a local engineering supplies or industrial fasteners stockist in yellow pages and drop in and ask the question. There are various different threadlock manufacturers and everybody stocks something different but as you say make sure you tell them you're locking small bolts AND you need to be able to get them apart again!

Thread locking Binding Bolts

Due to the nut&bolt dropping out of my left Cartel binding, the one that holds my ladder strap in. I'm now thinking of using some thread lock on the replacement, and a few other of the bolts. Has anyone else had experience of doing this, as I'm not sure what sort of thread lock you need. I don't want to use the wrong sort and never get the bolts off again :D. Any engineers out there?
