No abyss. Josh someone or another.... I think someone else in the band sing as lead also, as the vocals are very different on some tracks.. The druming is Dave Groughl...muma can he hit those skins!!!!

Well yes and no, the main men in QOTSA are Josh Homme, (guitar and most vocals eg No One Knows, Lost Art... , etc) and Nick Oliveri (bass and the more hardcore vocals, eg. first track of new album). Now Mark Lanegan seems to be part of the band at the moment. He sang on quite a number of the songs for the new album (and the previous , eg Hanging Tree) He even toured with them and sang quite a number of the songs in concert. So you could sort of say that he's a member of the band. And of course Dave Grohl wants to be in the band but the Foos are spinning too much money for him at the moment to give that up :-)

Great band btw. Going to have to throw that album now :-)
