Thinking of getting a pair of spi's, however i can get a really good price (about 70 quid, unless someone knows a better price?) on 07 style, is there any major differences between these and this year's model....
oh and does anyone have any experience of using them with a size 8 dialogue boots, think i should be a large but just want to see if anyone has any comments... thanks |

Those look sweet! I got an old pair of ride prestons that have seen better days so I wanna upgrade aswell. I just bout some Malamute boots which are a lot stiffer so its gonna take me a while to get used to those, do you think the SPi's will be too stiff as I already have a stiff boot? |

No problem... I got all the re-assurance I needed already and placed an order for these bad boys:

Gonna look quality on my dark purple 06/07 Agent.
Good bargains to be had at ss20. I also picked up their last copy of Lines |

Stuey, sorry to hijack your thread a bit, but likewise - anyone got a view on Ride Beta's ? Heard good things and bad (uncomftable as they're basically baseless) I don't need new bindings but have a one-er buring a whole in my pocket and found a bargain |

| Just thought I'd add another positive! Get them, the ratchets are awesome and the styling rocks. been using mine for about a year now and aside from one minor glitch have only good things to say about them. (glithc was that the decal lifted off the highback, and was resloved by Granite reef/ride customer services within 4 days!) |

Hey Wildebeest - don't tell me that not only do you ride the same board as me, but you've also got the same bindings?
I got a set of these earlier this season and I'm think they're pretty good.
I specifically bought them because they had metal centre discs. I was out and about one day (with my former Drake bindings) and I took one of those big stacks - a real bounce and roll job. When I picked myself up, I found I still had both bindings on my feet, but the board was about 20m away, with half the centre discs still firmly bolted to the board. As I’ve now bust just about everything there is to bust on a binding, I went straight off to buy something that seemed really tough.
Apart from that, I’ve also found them comfy and responsive, so thumbs up from me too. |

Pretty much yeah... As long as no-one comes on and says they are shite, or way off base for what I want to do or my ability level or that my current bindings are better then it's pretty much in the bag.

my mate changed this year from teh ride team to SPi - he thinks there pretty cool, looks like there is plenty of adjustment in all the right areas and he reckons they are comfy - what else do you need, i guess buy them
that is unless some comes along and gives you a good reason not to - but lets face it, your probably gonna buy them anyway and looking for us lot to just tell you what you want to hear
Right?????????? |

Hi all,
I'm currently running Rome Arsenal bindings on my Rome Agent board. I'm thinking about a change because: - My bindings are L/XL, i have UK8.5 boots, they fit but only just - I have to crank the toestrap right down. Sometimes my boot twists a tiny bit. - I find the ankle strap a bit uncomfortable. - I'm not ok with the fact that they are essentially the cheap ones from the Rome range (stupid I know) - the Ride's in ice blue just look fricken sweet ok! - My boot size is smack in the middle of the size range for a Ride large size binding
So, does anyone use Ride SPi's or know someone who does? What do you think of them? They are listed as an "All Terrain Versatility", and "all mountain freestyle" accordng to the Ride website - sounds spot on to me. I pretty much just ride mostly pistes, trying the odd little jump etc... I would class my level as a high beginner/low intermediate, venturing onto black pistes and trying little jumps on blues and riding switch and stuff.
Cheers,
Stu. |
