Although if it is only £30 and it coincides with the times he was using GoneBoarding (and so the internet) it sounds like these calls are not mallicious but are just his calls to connect to the internet.

Unfortunately I am still in the dark ages and use Dial up.
The total bill was about £30, but that was pay as you go. I have now switched to monthly subscription.

this might help in controlling what is dialling up....
http://www.bt.com/btprivacyonline/
Basically you specify which diallers to use, if any and which codes to block.

How do you connect to the internet? Do you have to dial-up via a modem or do you have broadband?

I think it was an 084711 no, which is not my local dialing code.
I will check this evening.

You shouldn't get broadband showing as phone calls at all. That is what you pay the subscription before. How much / min was it coming to? Is it a UK landline number or an 0845 of some sort?

Websites don't have phone numbers, they have addresses behind the website addresses, but not numbers. If you're not on broadband it will be a number that your service provider uses to hook you up to the net.

Telephone Number of GB
09/08/2005 @ 13:10:34
Hello
I have recently connected to the net at home. Always had a employers pay for the bill before.
I noticed one telephone number appeared many times and the usage tied in with the time i had been on GB. It was labelled special service next to it.
Does anyone know the the site number for Gb? or does it differ all the time.
(I know the number was not p*rn before people joke)
I am not vey technical, but i thought would ask before I phoned Bt moaning my bill was too high
