Love my ink - got my tenth snowflake done the other week. Started in 2002 with six on the left side of my stomach, had a bionic snowflake (made of screws) on my back as a homage to my titanium acquisition through boarding, and now have three on my right upper arm. All different and designed by myself. Ive got a rubbish tribal thing on my lower back, but the least said about that the better....

I also did my first tattoo the other day on someone else - it was only a star but the gun feels weird - its a weird sensation but I (and he) were quite pleased with the results. So now I am not only hooked on getting inked, Im hooked on inking other people!

probably not of any use to you at all but following on from the last post, my friend had a tattoo done when he was 15. he joined the navy so had no problems with having a tattoo on his forearm. hes now 31 and recently had to have it very painfully removed as upon leaving the navy and trying to get a normal job they didnt seem to appreciated him having an evil looking bright yellow and green clown with "f**k off" in bright red letters in a speech bubble on his forearm!!

stupid boy!! think about what you get done

if you want a tatoo go for it but think carefully about what you want and check out diffrent shops to find the best artist, once its done its done i have 3 my frist was of the grim reaper 15years later people kept asking why iv got a monkey with a axe on my arm, had it coverd last year and not that happy with the results need to go back for some more rework.

Here's mine:

It's on the side of my right leg.

Honest opinions welcome! I think that is the main thing - you will get honest opinions whether you like them or not. If that is likely to bother you in any way, you really shouldn't be getting a tatt in the first place. Be sure on design, size and location.

Mine is quite hard to read on first glance, so I always have people convinced that I have had 'Teamwork' or Teenwolf' tattoed on my leg, which just adds to it's appeal for me. If anybody says "You'll regret that in ten years time" I ask them for next weeks lottery numbers.

This photo gives it a bit more context (excuse the gnat bitten leg - this was day 3 of Latitude Festival!)

Yeah, I did read that with a pinch of salt... But I'm the cynical type.

I personally would never go with a brand logo or generic image. I would have to go with something totally individual and personal.

A mate has just had a tattoo done of a Kitesurfing company's logo.
It looks super sh*t and it a few years time when they change their logo, he'll feel a bit dated...

QUOTE (philiy - 05/05/2008 @ 21:26:25)

I've decided im getting a tattoo for my birthday ths year, I really want to get something to do with snowboarding but cant decide what. i was thinking og getting a sun with a snowflake in the center but not sure.dont want to get a logo or anything lie that, anyone got any ideas? anyone have any snowboarding related tattoos?

What would be quite funny is to get a tattoo of the bone you've broken whilst boarding. Could end up with a skeleton on the outside!

I personally hate tattoos I think they look tacky.
I don't need to shout about what qualifications I have got and haven't got, I know I'm good!
