Yep, I've used VRBO before. Generally alot cheaper that going through the official resort website (because they take up to 45% of the rental fee!). We stayed at the grandly named "Forest Suites Resort" (www.forestsuites.com). It's right under the gondola (people wave at you when you're in the hot tub) and I'd recommend it unless you're after 5 star luxury. It's more like the top end of cheap & cheerful.
It's not just a sport, it's a way of life.

Well I haven't been to the other resorts, but I think Heavenly is the biggest and the party town. It's where the casino's, shops, and clubs are. There's no accomodation near the slopes, but get a place near the gondola and you're sorted. Quite a few travel companies cover it, so you should have lots of choice.

Alright,

A bunch of us are planning to hit Tahoe late February. We want to keep it cheap, flights included and stay somewhere where we're right in the party zone and right next to the slopes.
Where should we go? What should we do?
