Revision #2 (Last edited: 25/04/2008 @ 12:25:39)
Hi all. Over the past few months I have tried to chip in and help on any travel related threads on the forum; as some of the GBers I have spoken to know, I work in the travel industry. Well now I can hopefully do some extra good for everyone: My company focuses mainly on long-haul tailormade trips for kitesurfing, snowboarding, surfing, etc, but we also sell packages for the usual suspects, such as Neilson, Crystal, Inghams, etc. This is where you guys come in.

At the moment I am working on a lot of summer product (kitesurfing mostly), but it seems quite a few GBers are still in boarding mode, heading down to the Southern winter, or booking for next season. So being a kind giving type of chap I thought it would be good to try to organise a discount for any bookings made by GB members. This I have managed to do, and the discount varies depending on what is booked.

Now I know plenty of you will be thinking...how, why, when, what's in it for me, you, etc. So I will try to explain:

The how:
What we are offering is to search around for you, and then give you a discount on the package you want. Basically, we have commercial deals based on commission, so are able to discount by cutting into that. The variation comes from how much we get from each operator.

What’s in it for you:
Better deals for GBers. You are looking at around 5-7% off the direct price. (Believe me the margins are tiny in travel !!) But it's all extra beer money.

What’s in it for us:
Obviously this generates extra business for us.

Why:
Why not, it's a win win. You pay less and we make money. Like I said, this is commission that is already factored into the operators pricing, it is not additional. We work like other travel agents, but hopefully with a more personal service. You can always give it a try, and only book if you are happy.

The Catch:
None...Promise...’Trust me I am a travel agent’
We are a small independent company, but are full ABTA members and all packages are ATOL bonded. All the bonding and finance is processed through The Co-operative Travel, so you are totally protected.

I hope I have explained all this okay guys. Feel free to come right back at me if I have missed something or my explanation is naff. If you want to have a look, the website address is in my signature, and Facebookers can join the Natural Freeride group.

Lastly, to make sure this stays as a GB perk, if anyone is interested can you P/M me on here. I am always logged in at work.

Oh, and Mods, I did check with Starnzy that it was okay to post this.

Cheers

Steve

I'm after a week away from the 29th March for a family of four.Don't really care where as long as it's cheap. We've already been away last month and would like to get a quick one in before I put the board away for the summer. Any one got accommodation/package suitable?

Hi again everyone. Last beds remaining for the week of 27th Jan and as such a GBers only extra special offer... This only applies to registered members on here, so people will need to PM me on here to take advantage of the offer...

This is what you'll get for the week:

Availability in Chalet Les Lanchettes (www.rideslide.co.uk/lanchettes) for the week commencing Sunday 27th January.

- 7 nights accommodation
- Champagne reception on first night
- Buffet breakfast consisting of a selection of cereals, breads, croissants, pain au chocolat, boiled eggs, cold meats, cheese, fresh fruit, yoghurts etc.
- Cooked or gourmet breakfasts on two days of the week
- Afternoon tea with cakes or savories
- Warming apres ski drinks, pre-dinner aperitifs or post diner digestifs or canapés served throughout the week
- 4 Course dinner (6 nights of the week)
- Complimentary wine available at any time, day or night!
- minibus service to/from lifts in mornings and evenings
- free transfers to/from Geneva airport
- free 6 day full Portes-du-Soleil area lift pass

And what are we asking for this?...

well make me an offer...

As it's only a few rooms remaining and I'd rather fill them than leave them empty so I'm open to offers. I'm not guaranteeing that the offer will be accepted (I know how much I need to take for the week to make it more worthwhile having the bed filled than empty) but I'll consider all offers...

The usual cost for the week is €720 euros for the holiday, €60 euros for the transfer, and €192 euros for the lift pass, totalling €972 euros.

Can also do the same for short breaks during that week.
