Just looked at the website and I really like the site layout. As already said it's easy to navgate and not too crowded. I'm new to snowboarding so probably won't be buying safety gear until i've had some lessons first, however when i do i will be looking at this site first.

Also who got to dress up as chewie?

mea00csf, fair point this has been discussed a fair amount recently, though i think you need to distinguish between what True are doing and Snowdanger. True are competing on an international scale (dont believe me - read the should I buy a True or a Burton, Rome etc etc threads) with sponsored pro riders. Snowdanger, from what i can gather, are a bunch of likeminded individuals having a laugh and trying to make enough cash to fund the next alcohol fuelled trip to the mountains....and selling protective gear

Very different business models, target audience, blah blah blah...essentially, if you're up against Burton you've gotta look the dizzy snitzel IMHO. I dont think SnowDanger fall into this category yet.

Its not bitching - its a forum, people give opinions

That is all

just to add my oppinion I think the website is fine as you're stating out and you'll obviously build on it as you get more successful but I agree all that txt speak comes across really badly.

If you don't mind, I'll elaborate...(I'll also do it minus the sarcasm)

There's nothing wrong with the layout of the site, it's the writing within the site that I was referring to.

Now maybe I'm a bit too much of a snob when it comes to txtspeak, but I'd think long and hard before I bought products from a site that uses txtspeak as much as yours does. It may be that you've gone down this road in an attempt to bring across the fun side of snowboarding, but from a design perspective there are lots of other ways to do that which won't involve large sections of your website looking like they came off the phone of a 14 year old.

As to the glowsticks? Hey - when it's dark, and I want something that glows to wave around, then I'll take all the glowsticks you can offer me. When you're sending them out in the post, it just isn't quite the same.

mea00csf -> In all honesty, this is a company that wants me to part with my cash. If I walked into a store which had wobbly racks and a sticky hinged door and have the same reluctance to buy.

Is anyone else getting a bit tired of all the website snobbery that seems to be on this site?

I've noticed loads of people moaning about "amateurish" websites which seem completely unecessary. Having clicked on the link out of curiosity to see what can be created on a mobile phone, i thought the site was clear and easy to navigate while not being repulsive to look at, with the bonus, as far as i'm concerned, of very prominent phone contact details.

Why the completely un-necessary bitching??

Free glow sticks? Wow!

Also - I looked at your website, and it appears to have been created on a mobile phone. Is that deliberate?
