temperatures are very warm, with very little variation (which is a surprise).

I guess cos of proximity to sea and low altitude..

How much faith do you have in Snowforecast.com?

Also I normally find an overnight freeze followed by warm sunny weather is more conducive to good spring conditions. I don't see an overnite freeze in that forecast.

Unless you have the wedge to burn, I'd be inclined to give it a miss and save the $$$ for another outing.

Out of my experience range... I'd be interested to hear how it is though.

I've ridden Canadian helis at this time of year. That's very much spring conditions, with short days as the snow turns to schmoo by early afternoon, and slope selection being critical. Hit a face too early and you're riding frozen stuff (crust); hit it too late and it's schmoo. With the best guiding you can get it right about 50% of the time, at which point it's good stuff, although nothing like the white smoke you get in winter.

That's a comprehensive weather chart, but I can't translate it into anything useful. If it was whistler, I'd just use the freezing level to figure out what's happening, but here it's just numbers. It talks about light rain and the temperatures are very warm, with very little variation (which is a surprise).

I'd ask the heli guys how the conditions are. Of course they may BS you on that. If you're there, then maybe it'd be a shame to miss the opportunity....

What do you reckon cond's are gonna be like for heli?.. No freeze after thaw so I'm assuming no icecrete but just fairly heavy going..

Yay or Nay?..
