| Got myself a nice set of snowflakes designed and tattooed by my mate. He did them these weekend at Evian Tattoo convention and my tattoo won the 3rd prize at the best small tattoo ^^ Just waiting for it to be fully healed now, which is a bit pain as it is on the feet. Will be ready just in time for snowboarding in 2 weeks! |

Now you're talkin. i dig the pointilism geometric design especially xed le head style but have heard that he spends most of the "paid for hours" meditating , i've not long got a pointilism borneo rosette on my left knee cap which will be extending my shin/calf area ... Shige!!! of Yellowblaze, awesome artistry! I too am looking to get on his waiting list forsure! Amongst others lol... |

first tattoo down the side of my ribcage, pics aren't great as i did them on my own with camera phone. dotwork style with a design i came up with incorporating three of the stages of the seed of life (like it cos of the geometry).
really into geometric tattoos so got it done by patrick huettlinger who specilises in that style. hoping from more from him plus some work from xed le head, french tomas and danny dimattia plus a whole heap of others when money allows. if i ever get the money and time i'd love a nice jap piece from shige - his work is unreal! next tatts likely to be two japanese mon symbols on the front of my shoulders or dotwork geometric designs from lower legs to feet
(forgive the shitty photography skills)

I'll get something online later, I'm thinking full cover to be honest, not too sure on the laser surgery either, the hassle of covering up will teach me not to rush into things so quickly |

Get a pic of it up to see how it could be worked.... You could incorperate the old piece into a new design or go for a complete cover up which will have limits... You could get some laser treatment to lighten the original piece which will give you more choice on cover up... |

| I have a tribal sun on my stomach (from my wakeboarding sun loving days) and a tribal dragon on my arm (first tatt and rather rubbish). I want to get the dragon turned into something winter themed to balance up the sun and love for winter too... suggestions? |

QUOTE (daisykitten - 31/08/2008 @ 17:48:26) I dont think that a professional tattoo artist would be wrong, considering they do this day in day out... What I was actually told was there might be a possibility for the tatt to be touched up because my feet are an exposed area a likely to fade quicker than an area on the body that can be covered such as an arm or leg. ALL tattoos fade with age and its down to the indiviual to decide if they want them retouched, its personal preference. I like mine ro look sharp so I had them retouched after 5 weeks, it is normal. JFTR, I am a proffesional tattoo artist and can spot a bad tattoo a mile off...
I'm actually making a move down to Warrington in the very near future to work with the guys from Voodoo tattoo... I'm just back from a weeks trial period and got to say that i'm looking forward to hitting the Chill factor for a bit of shred...
Oh and here's a bit of fresh ink i've just acquired courtesy of Mr Karl Fletcher of VOODOO TATTOO

QUOTE (merlin - 27/08/2008 @ 22:45:44) If a tattoo is applied well using a top quality pigment or ink and looked after properly it will stay sharp and vibrant for many years (30+).... Who ever told you that a foot tattoo will usually need touched up after 5 weeks has their info wrong... If it was a tattooist that told you that they're just covering for bad application.. It's true tattoos fade quicker on the hands or feet due to a quicker skin growth but we're still talking years if the tattoo is applied well... I dont think that a professional tattoo artist would be wrong, considering they do this day in day out... What I was actually told was there might be a possibility for the tatt to be touched up because my feet are an exposed area a likely to fade quicker than an area on the body that can be covered such as an arm or leg.
