To be honest fella, I don't care whether you appreciate my comments or not. I'm not your mum - I'm not gonna say 'That's lovely Nick' just to make you feel good..
You asked me to watch and comment on your video - I wasted a couple of minutes looking at it because I love Serre Che and I thought it would be interesting.. You just pointed the camera at a mate on a cat-track for 2 minutes.. Yeah, it's special for you and your mates but did you really think anyone else would enjoy it?.. Surely your own critical faculties told you that it is far far removed from a good boarding dvd?.. Do you really need someone else to say 'put some music on it, cut it up, etc' to realise what its missing?.. If I'd done it I would've been pleased, shown it to my mates and left it at that.. unless I was 15 perhaps..
My initial post was supposed to be in good humour - marking like a school teacher.. unfortunately, humour often gets lost in text.. and maybe your sense of humour had already got lost when your pride got hurt..
Whatever.. |

Im with Chip board.
Infact I think the 5/10 mark was more than generous. I would have marked it a bit lower.
Bottom line is you do not need to have great boarding skills to make a knock out video. Killer music, an imagination all can work with your scenes to make something fantastic. But it does take alot of time and effort.
If you dont like the answer perhaps you shouldt have asked the question.
Now where is Simon Cowell when you need him?

Well I take it you didn't appreciate my comment!..
To be REALLY fair, correct me if I'm wrong, but you asked what we thought of it - don't throw your toys outa the pram just because you don't get the response you want.. |

To be fair mate, 1 - this was first time I've been bothered to take some footage and was on last afternoon, so not pre-planned or anything and 2- the straight lining footage was taken as that was the stag and only his 2nd week on the snow so he wanted some footage - not everyone is great straight away, I'm pretty sure you would have been excited by doing that back at the start.
Cheers for comments fatbob |

Erm.. my suggestions?..
1) Straightlining a cat-track doesn't make for the most thrilling viewing?!...
2) If you have to point the camera at yourself at least do summat entertaining!..
Ok, it's your first time but even so:
5/10 - Could try harder |

Are they all follow cam? Mix it up with some static filming as follow cam can get a bit monotonous and give some people motion sickness.
Why not mix all the footage together with an editing software package and add a soundtrack. |

Decided I ought to take a few vids of my boarding on the last day in Serre Chevalier last Thursday, as up until then was much of a haze of boarding and drinking (5 day Stag Do) in La Grotte (for those that know the resort) - take a peek and let me know what you think - it's first time I've taken footage before.
