cheers I've ended up gluing some thin pieces of plastic inside the hoop. This way the lace won't wear out the rest of the hoop. See how that goes. Just have to wait till new season starts!!! |

Best advice is to probably have a go and see what you can do.
I've had Malamutes twice and both times those inner lace holes have ripped, admittedly after a lot of days but still annoying as the outer boot is still in great condition. Mine were 1/2 ripped for ages before they finally tore all the way through though, and even with them torn I rode for about another month and it was ok, I guess it depends on how tight you like your boots.
If they aren't ripped through yet then maybe try putting the laces through the holes from just above the hole rather than yanking the lace higher up like you'd normally do, that will probably prevent them wearing a bit. |

Hey there
I hope someone can help. I recently bought some second hand Salomon F24 (07 model) My problem is that the inner boot is in need of some repair. The fabric hoops on the inner boot, which hold the laces, are really quite worn. two of the main hoops are ripped half way. I'm not sure how much longer these will hold. Is it possible to repair these? With the same type of fabric, maybe sew a new hoop into/into the boot? It would be a shame to give up on the boots as they are really. I'm just not sure if the repair is possible
Thanks |
