QUOTE (PoppaJ - 25/04/2008 @ 15:33:32) Anyone got any ideas on paints or coverings? There is a lot of material covers about at the moment like denim, suede, chrome too.. Is this something that is gonna take off? I like the use of leather etc on the top surface of the Dominant etc but i'm not sure about helmets... A spot of military camo would look cool I reckon, like the coverings on the army helmets. |

Heya Pudsey,
Here's a couple of shots of our Black finishes. First pic shows the classic Black gloss Knight Moves model. The second is of the new soft touch finish we are playing with at the moment.. Is this the sort of thing you are after..? By changing the interior mesh colours and the external logo's/graphics its easy for us to create a custom look bespoke to your requirement.
If anyone wants a helmet to match an outfit or to just come up with a completely personal concept we are able to provide this... at a small cost! Hahaha. Give us a call on:
01452 506171 to discuss product and finishes etc....
At RuRoC WE assemble and paint evrything here in the UK! Nobody does this anymore so SUPPORT a home grown brand!
Cheers all.

Hey all, Thanks for the comments- good to know they are causing poeople to notice them whilst on the slopes!
In response to some of the points raised it is important to remember that the helmet/goggles/mask sections are all removeable. The helmet and goggles look and perform to the highest standards regardless of the mask which can be left at home or stashed in a back pack until conditions require it!
I'm not sure what I can say regarding the Darth Vader request other than not at the moment. It's pretty close as it stands and I love the movies but don't see it as a good move. We are releasing a new Soft Touch model in all Black/Matt finish which is amazing though.. I'll sort some new pics soon so keep an eye out. |

Thats two votes for Darth Vader
Seriously I reckon there is a gap in the market for customised helmets. Nike are doing this with trainers, Oakley do it with ski goggles, why not helmets ? Most lids just come in boring single colours, they never seem to match up with some of the flamboyant colours that are available in snowboard jackets or pants, thats not to mention some of the crazy graphics to be found on the boards themselves.
If you could offer a premium service ( alongside the regular helmets ) where a customer sends you a graphic / design to go on the helmets that could be something really unique and something that would give your product an edge, especially as you are in a swamped market competing with the big boys.
Maybe also consider making the mouth vents look more like a persons mouth? |

That helmet seems a little strange but could be a goer for ppl in the parks who want to avoid the far heavier cost of chipped teeth. Its a pity the face mask part only clips off rather than sliding up over the head to sit there when not in use, kinda like my motorbike helmet - the chin cover bit flips right over to let the air in on hot days.
If you ever make a Darth Vader version of this helmet contact me asap - Ive being dying to go as Darth on our fancy dress riding for years now ! |

Howdy sir!
Thanks for checking my post. Were in the process of adapting the lid for use in the MBike field. Very little changes to the test standards so won't pose many problems as a cross over product! What makes you think that they won't catch on..? Style/colours/price...? I'm like Jonny 5 - need input!

Hi all, new guy to the forum so I'm hoping this thread works...? Just wanted to get some feedback on a new UK based product that I help produce here in Gloucestershire. The company is RuRoC and we make Helmets and Goggles. Anybody got/used one yet? If so, how did you get on with it? Be cool to get some feedback/thoughts on our products so check us out.

Cheers. |
