QUOTE (Silver Star - 01/10/2008 @ 20:55:52) Me? I would spend the money on more time in the snow! I totally agree! playing on snow is what this thing is all about!
I think that theres nothing really wrong with the board you currently own, its a good stick! That said the custom X is a superb board, Very natural feeling under foot. If you can shift your old board that could be a good way to go about it? THat way you can have whichever board you wish and still use the left over cash to help fund more snowboarding anventures!
In short. if your bigest problem is which excelent board to have then happy days!!!!! |

I got a Custom X in Breck on the last day last year (that was the 5th of Feb, so didnt get to ride it there but broke it in in Chamonix in April) it took me by surprise the base is soooo fast. When got back I changed my bindings to to Ride CAD's and now i think i have a wicked set up. Although i did go for 2cm shorter! down to 160.
I rode a Rome Solution and Burton Missions before and i loved them at the time. I guess we'll see (in Breck again this year, although a week earlier) hopefully how it performs in the pow!
Oh and the best bit brand spanking new £260, an amazing deal really but the 3 of us did spend a few quid in this shop over the 2 weeks! |

| The only way you will find out is to buy it and ride it. Go ahead, buy it, you know you want to. |

| Don't bother, if you really want to spend the money on a new board, buy a freestyle or powder board. |

I'm only thinking about buying it due to it being under half price £220 , and wanted to know what the ride quality difference between the two is. |

well, since you appear to only be thinking of buying the custom X for the sake of it, i'd say don't bother. If you've got a perfectly good board that does what you want, why buy another ? |

| Custom X is slightly less forgiving and less durable and a lot more expensive. The overall performance is on a similar level. The Ride board is superior in every way IMO. |
