i'm going to be controversial, i really don't like Flikr. Find that when i'm trying to veiw other peoples photos on there, the way you look through the album is a PITA. that scroll thing which just shows 3 photos at a time means you can't look at the album overall and veiw the ones you want to, and the slideshows are annoying as you have to set the timer, rather than be able to click through them. Maybe you canget rid of both these things, but i lost patience with it before i figured it out

There is a limitation on the file size and type - 10mb and it converts TIFF to JPEG for storage. It's genearally all good with flickr though

nope, no limits whatsoever with the Pro account. There used to be, but they've made them unlimited now.

This page has more info on what's-what in Flickr

overall, very easy to use, fast, clever, addictive, cheap, love it.

Odd that nobody's mentioned Flickr yet! Without doubt the best photo sharing / organising / mapping / loads-of-other-clever-things site there is.
There's a free account to get you started (has limits on number of uploads / month) or most people pay $24.95 a year for the pro account.

careful tho, it gets addictive.

To be honest, I don't take enough photographs and require that kind of service for what I use it for.

Sure it'd be nice to upload at the original resolution, but I mainly do it for ease of allowing people to see my photo's online, and Picasa (owned by google) is more than enough for my requirements.

I'm sure the more professional among us might be interested though.

Would you be interested for a nominal fee? I'm looking at launching a service for £9.99 a year with full login capabilities.

Also, I will be offering unlimited web hosting for only £19.99.

I have 1gb of storage on there, and it's only at 21% of usage at the moment, so don't really need more.

I use Photobucket too. But yes, I'd happily use a no limit service if it was free.

OK PB & WB... free.. but how much space do you have?

Would you or anyone else be interested in a no limit service?

I'm just after peoples info on image/photo hosting.

Where do you host your images and how much do you pay for the privilege?

All info gratefully received,

Regards, Gareth
