#1  Adults only trip to Kaprun all welcome  07/06/2009 @ 14:02:40
Revision #1 (Last edited: 28/07/2009 @ 09:32:45)
16th January 2010 remains the date for the First Sno Age Ltd trip, there have been changes though!

We have launched this group early- so that everyone can plan and can start saving accordingly.

WE have decided that because of uncertainty regarding flights they are shooting up in price, it may be prudent to let Crystal take the strain.

Drew has worked tirelessly and there is now a contract out on him from Crystal but they have kicked arse on a deal.

The new resort is Kaprun http://en.kitzsteinhorn.at/
I was there last year in the next door hotel and its lovely with the biggest ski shop opposite! 7 minutes from the ski lift and a ten minute ski bus to the Kitzeinhorn Glacier.

The ski resort of Kaprun is part of the ‘Europa Sport Region’ which offers an extensive ski area. Set at the foot of the breathtaking Kitzsteinhorn Glacier, it offers an excellent range of pistes, including high altitude pistes with guaranteed snow. The views from the glacier at Kaprun are impressive with the lake, Zell am See and the highest mountain in Austria, all visible.

The 'Optimum' Sports Centre is the pride of the village, with its fantastic facilities. Combined with a wide variety of bars and restaurants, ski holidays in Kaprun have lots to offer - on and off the piste.

Après Ski for Ski Holidays in Kaprun
Plenty of action off-piste from lively bars and discos to the more quaint, rustic stubes. Try:· Pavillon · Kitch & Bitter · Winkler's Music Café · Paletti · Baum Bar · Kuhstall

Activities for Ski Holidays in Kaprun
· 'Optimum' Sports Centre with indoor pool and fitness studio · Indoor tennis and squash centre · Small ice skating rink · Sledging · Sleigh rides · Horse-drawn sleigh rides · Bowling

Eating out on Ski Holidays in Kaprun
Superb selection of over 25 restaurants catering for all tastes and budgets, from fondues to pizzas.
· Orgler · Dorfstadl · Schlemmerstube · Tauernhof · Mitteregger · Baum Bar · Hillbergers · Zuchinis · Kitsch & Bitter · Great pizzas from Paletti.

We have secured a lovely Hotel http://www.tauernhof-kaprun.at/index.asp?lang=en with all amenities in the centre of Kaprun including flights from Birmingham or Glasgow, transfers, ski pass and half board ,tea and cakes too, plus your boardbag carriage included.

Crystal have given us a super deal of £730 total for everything, you only pay for beer and mountain snacks thats it! beautiful four star luxury the lot! fabulous area, great local bars with live music, cocktail bars, main apres ski are 30 yards away.

For those who are not UK based 700 Euros HB with ski pass!

This trip is priced at over £900 in the Crystal brochure, this is still open to people who want to travel independently or are non UK just let us know!

This is an Adult only trip!

NB: Saunas are nude that's the way it is in Europe if of nervous disposition stay away from the area! Austrians can appear gruff but they are super friendly if we dont shout and speak slowly in a patronising manner! ha ha

Well kelsey we have captured the imagination o some as we have 27 confirmed for this trip, ironically we have lots of younger people youngest is 18 who just want fun on the snow without some of the silly things that go on, lovely hotel, great company wine and beer we also have a 65 year old that is the fastest in our group if your 31 year old boyfriend " show his booty " buy him a belt

Hi thunderblob,

Is there a limit to the amount of people you will take??

Reason I ask - I cant put £100 deposit down for another couple of weeks. . . so, I am thinking I may miss the boat, as you already have impressive numbers.

Cheers mate,

Nick

Hi Jay,

Thanks for getting back to me.

Think I would prefer to fly...? Though Road trips have advantages.... do you have a choice?? I am new to the concept of a big group holiday like this, so apologies if my questions seem a bit stupid!!

Depending on what is decided (Bus vs Plane) I assume there is a meeting point in the UK where we all meet and head off.

Are rooms allocation on arrival?? Think my GF would be coming... but maybe not, it depends.

Have you been before at this time of year?? snow conditions any good??

Nick
