The ones I had problems with were Eyejackets from the mid 90's. The arms got really thin where the rubber sleeve fitted over them, I think it was a common issue with that particular model.

I've had Oakley's for the last 12 years or so. My Eyejackets liked to break themselves but always were repaired.. until they were nicked! Never had a problem with my Juliet's, lasted for yonks and also have a pair of Monster Dogs (Ducati ones might I add!).

I really rate Oakley and their service, I wouldn't buy anything else.

As for Bolle having as good lenses - don't make me laugh!

Guess what, you're right. I'll be the first to laugh at you.

What are/were you doing to break your Oakley's so much?

a bit of a controversial post here, im sure im going to set myself up for some abuse here but oakley are a bit shit and notorious for breaking. granted they look the tits, they work great when they arnt broken, but they are way too expensive for what they are. you might be able to get them on warranty because they get so many back they just replace them.

id just buy something that isnt likely to break in the first place. for my money bolle are awesome 2 year warranty, not that they ever seem to need it. optics are easily as good as oakley, and not everyone in the world has them!!!

I had the arms replaced on my eye jackets about 3 times no questions asked. In fact when they ran out of frames for an old colourway they had they just sent me a brand new pair with the closest match. I have now bought 6 pairs of glasses and 2 sets of gogs. They certainly know that top service builds brand loyalty, premium price but top customer service!

likewise..
i found oakley warranty was excellent - on my third pair of eye jackets, send a letter and they'll sort you out no probs, well worth spending the extra on oakley as their customer service is top.

The amount of Oakley goggles/glasses/sunnies I have is stupid. I reckon at any 1 point in time they have a pair being repaired!

Just send them a letter saying what happened with the goggles, when you bought them and if you have the proof of purchase include this too. They'll sort you out.

Had the leg replaced for free in a shop for my eyejackets, but when my (now ex)Husband broke the other leg they said I had to post them to Oakley UK- even though they admitted they known to be weakened on my colour combination and age of frame.
Still not got around to having it fixed- bought some cheap lookilikes from ebay for in the car

I broke my boyfriends Oakley's in Canada this year we went into Rude Boys and asked the guy what the best thing to do would be. He took the goggles off him and came back with a brand new lens for free.

Oakley warranty is the best around i think

Timofey, how'd it go? The lenses on my Crowbars were fogging (between the two panes) and Oakley is warrantying them for me now. Impact damage is usually tougher though.

I got some scratched lenses replaced on a pair of Oakley sunglasses once, which was nice as I had actually sent them back because the arm snapped. Although I managed to snap the arm three times, and only once did they sort out the lenses when fixing it!

Still, really can't complain about how good they were fixing the arm problem, just pop them in a box you can pick up from an Oakley dealer, stick them in the post, and shortly after recieve a fixed pair of glasses.

Gutted, sorry to hear they've broke man, I cracked some last year against an Italian skiiers face

Yeah I'm thinking a cracked lens won't be covered, they'll just say you mistreated them. My 1st pair of A-Frame iridium lens' went back because they scratched too easily and they admitted a fault but cracks don't just happen on their own for a piece of equipment that's not supposed to take any impact!!!!

Replacement lenses aren't all that expensive these days. Iridiums can be picked up for about £52 from shadestation or london-eyewear
