I'm mixed over the dvd. Some of the experimental bits were great, i.e. invisible board.

The music does make or break a video, but unfortunately most movies with low budgets have to rely on myspace music that is free or very little cost.

Nice to see a snowboarding video in which everything is achievable and dos'nt require you to be superhuman [or crazy>. That said i found it an effort to watch the entire film [rails not my thing>, and the re-re-re-re-rewinding was incredibly irritating and wasted time.

Free tho so mus'nt grumble eh

For what its worth i thought I would chip in with my 2 penny's worth

Thought the film was OK but left me slightly dissapointed, not too sure why though, think the sound track had a lot to do with it. I personnally think that the soundtrack can make or break a movie, this one was a bit too "experimetal" and in my opinion didnt compliment the riding.

What ever your view point on styles and types of riding I think that in a movie you have got to have a balance, 45 mins of street rails will be as boring as watching 45 minutes of any other riding style, the secret is to get a good mix

Any way thats me done - feel free to shoot me down

I personally enjoyed Otium so much more than any other of the free whitelines dvd's I've had in the past. If you're going to say they hit the same rail over and again, then am I allowed to say that half of the backcountry kickers in all the other dvd's are the same? Of course not because snowboarding is about the mountain, but seeing as I only get away once a year I'd rather take inspiration from people in the park then relate them to what I can(/can't) do on the kickers and rails at my local dryslope.

Yeah it is.
Really liked the start sequence to it - thought that was pretty well done. Certainly not the worst film I've seen.

I watched it last night and thought it was pretty good. Obviously the editing hasn't got the same slickness as Robotfood / Blank paper studios/ absinthe films stuff, but then they haven't got the same money behind them either.

I enjoyed in more than 'More' - even thouth that had better riding. This just had more interesting sections in to me.

Whatever floats your boat...
