This is precisely what I would like to know about outerwear.

Also, it's nice to know about other features,

Durabiliy. ie: will it perform season after season or will it fall apart after one holiday.
Number of and quality of pockets?
Does it have a Generic-MP3-player pocket? and if so Is it easy to access.
Do jackets attach to trousers? Do trousers attach to jackets.

You get the idea...

I've had a Bonfire jacket for almost 3 years which has been brilliant. Very hard wearing, nice and warm, keeps me very dry even in the most extreme conditions. Under arm vents which work very well. Only problem I've had with it is that the zip holder broke off, but it's still useable.

Would heartily recommend Bonfire jackets

outerwear either keeps you warm and dry or is doesnt.
most of it does.
