How I know how it is... though the last board I bought was a park board, got it sractch after 10 minutes...
Well, you iron may be too cold indeed. You should melt the wax easily, but you shouldn't make it smoke. The more was you put, the easier it is to spread it, but I tend to put as less as possible and to spend load of time spreading it  I got some tricks from few mates that work or used to work in snowshop. |

I know the scratch won't make a difference....but it's my first board and you know how it is, you want to keep it in as good a condition as possible. 
Trying to get the wax to spread after dripping it on seemed to take ages, wax seemed to take a while to melt so i'm now wondering if i had the iron down to low? |

Wouldn't worry to much about the scratch on the board really.
Waxing is fairly easy once you understand how to do it! |

Busted my waxing cherry today.
Think i may have used too much wax...what a mess. 
Eventually got it all off, but managed to add a scratch to the board in the process 
Oh well...i'm sure it'll get easier with practice. |

little more marketing and more ppl using their product = more buyers, therefore delivery costs can be brought down. but who am i to judge (cough....marketing manager....cough)
£12 is far too steep for something that can go in the post.... |

| Lolly do a search on the uk google for a company called datawax. Their all temp stuff is dead cheap, about £3.50 for 150g, which will do about 8 waxes. Though they have a min order i think, so club with a friend, or buy some of their other stuff too, i got some wax remover and a scraper. |

Are you sure? because I'm wondering whether it's okay to use my mum's good iron and does it matter if it's a steam iron? can I use it and just not put water in? |

I just waxed my board ready for Austria a week tommorrow (Sat 26th)! really getting excited now too!!
Loved waxing my board for the first time, i really looked into doing it myself and im glad i did now! feel much better knowing i've made the effort to look after it. Off to screw my bindings back on now! gotta love the excitement!! haha (ps. sorry to all those not going on hols anytime soon)  |
