| As fatbob said, try not to use too much wax as it's both a waste and harmful. |

If you have loads of shavings then you're probably using too much wax. I only get a small amount of shavings after scraping. Have a look at the waxing thread posted the other day. Great video from youtube on there.
You alos don't need to wax beacuse the base is dirty. You can always clean that off next time you wax. Only wax if the base looks dry. |

| I'm sure there is a science behind it, but I wouldn't reuse it. Shop around - decent One Ball Jay wax for less than a tenner |

Just finished waxing my board for the second time, only had one outing since the last wax but it was 2 hrs at the MK Snowdome and the bottom looked dirty. Besides I enjoy waxing my board and its nice to know my board is always in tip top condition. I have just collected up all the old wax shavings, put them into the base cleaner top and placed it into a bowl of boiling water. The wax has melted back into one solid lump but is this OK to use again or does it deteriorate once it has been heated a couple of times? I'm not being stingy or anything but I hate to think that I am wasting loads of perfectly good wax every time I wax my board |

| Leave your summer wax and scrape just before your next trip - think of your last waxing of the season like you would when using Brut - splash it on! |

Ok point taken.
i was given a large chunk of wax by a kind fellow at chatham ski slope.I know you have to put it on via an iron...but if i was to not use my board for a few months over summer would i just leave it on as it is or do i take it off down to the minimum? |

Good job!
Personally I'd not bother with liquid wax, a complete waste of money and lasts 1 run at the most. This was backed up by the chief board servicing person in the Park, Morzine during a board tech night we had on the GB camp.
Save your money and get a good all temp wax, in big quantities as it works out cheaper w/w. |

Hi Neil,
If you are wanting to protect your board for storage I think the recommended is to hot wax it and don't scrap it off. As far as I'm aware the liquid wax stuff is just a touch up for just b4 or mid riding to give you some extra "zip". It's not an alternative to hot waxing. |

Hi bob
just a quickie i have got some of that liquid wax,i put in onto my board whilst i`m not using it,is this ok to do or should i just leave it without any sort of solution on,i do not want the base to dry out and the wax would be the only thing i could think to use? |

That sounds about right. U want to scrap it until no more wax comes off, the u add texture. |
