Rocker would do, and that's what Lib Tech use on their site. But "reverse camber" is what I've generally heard with this type of construction, for example the "Spat" skis from a few years ago. They were powder skis and useless elsewhere. I only rode with one person on them, and he was happy enough, but they don't seem to have caught on.
Future Snowboarding tested it and described it as a "Park Board". I can't see it working as anything else really. |

well i haven't tried one but my boyfriend has. He found that when the board is put flat, ie hooning down slopes or just cruising on cat tracks, the main point of contact is between the bindings and the ends lift up from the bindings meaning less contact with the snow. this led to the board particularly on cat tracks spinning slightly and feeling unstable.
Because of the pre bent shape you don't have to push the board down into a carve meaning less to no work has to be put in. But this also meant no pop out of the carve as the deflected shape is the normal shape of the board. So nice for easy cruising but not much good for a lively feeling board, with the added problem of needing to be on an edge all the time to feel stable. Lots of people liked them and he said it was great in the powder, but it is def something you need to be sure of before you buy.
The magnatraction he loved and i've not heard a bad word about it. |

Thing is that's exactly how I'd describe my boarding! Why are the adverse camber boards not great for that??
Would just a standard magnetration maybe suit me better then?.. |

| the banana technology/adverse camber boards are like marmite, do not buy one if you haven't tried one out! particularly if you're an aggresive, fast boarder who likes to work and get the pop out of carved turns and to flat board a lot. |

| K2 Gyrator has the adverse camber just like the Banana - just without the magne-traction. It works wel in pow - but loves the piste too. If you want the Banana, the 2009 GNU one has better graphics that the 2009 Lib-Tech one. |

I'm liking the sound of this Magnetraction malarky, think i'll wait until the domes start stocking the 09 range and get myself a demo!
I've always been keen on a rome agent too Stuey. Have to try and get a go on one at some point as well. |

The Rome Agent rocks. I love it.
I only have one board and this thing does it all. I even rode it fine in powder, it's a 158 and I weigh in at 14.5st, well upwards of 15st with all my gear on. (granted my back leg got a bit of a workout...) |
