From the chalet we are sitting watching the snowline dropping down the hillside across the valley. |

| yep, soaking today, I stayed out until about 4, those hailstones last night were freaky, visibility on a lot of runs isn't great, clearest run is definitely the stash although Crosets over the Swiss side wasn't too bad |

Its wet wet wet here now. Thunderstorms and massive hailstones falling yesterday evening. This morning it was raining at the top of Avoriaz so we called it a day after lunchtime. Snow is really heavy. Cant wait to hit some real Scottish pow before the season is out. |

Been snowing like crazy since noon. Was snowing down in town for a while but has now turned to light rain. Had a decent morning and the snow on piste is excellent. Love riding through the Stash. |

QUOTE (jenster81 - 04/04/2008 @ 14:51:42) hey Philwiles, where you flying from and what tiem you landing??? Sorry Jenster just picked up your post about 20 minutes ago, was flying from Gatwick at stupid o' clock on Sunday (about 6.15).
Had awesome day today with Mr djshawk, lots of pow, few spectacular wipeouts although that was much more me than him and one hairy moment All good fun but aching like feck now, lots of stretching and ipubrofen gel on the banged ribs from a stash incident on Sunday
Probably out this afternoon, hitting up Avoriaz possibly with djshawk, will be wearing a yellow jacket with grey line print and green camo pants on say hello if you see me always good to go riding with new peeps. |

Had a good day today too, didn't expect there to be anywhere near as much snow as their was. Lapped park until I met up with Phil (riding park on a day like today felt wrong!) then did a couple of laps of Crozat, steep + deep After that headed over Les Gets side to see what Chamossiere was like and though quite tracked and getting heavy in the sun we got a couple of good laps in. 2nd lap we decided to do a route I was unsure about and ended up down a steep as fook, patchy bit with a small cliff band at the bottom and a ton of rocks. After a while we managed to make our way out but it wasn't looking good for a while! Moral of the story - don't go off somewhere unless you know where it goes
Got some pics which I'll upload sometime too. |

It was amazing today. Woke this morning to blue skys and about 3inches of snow on the car at the chalet in Morzine. We drove up to Ardent where it was quiet and we were soon up to Lindaret and onto the Chaux Fleurie chair where it was obvious we were in for a powder treat. Dropped in under the Rochassons chair and the new snow seemed to be between 18 and 24 inches deep. We headed to Happy Valley and had untracked snow all morning. We then had a blast down to Linga where it was great except for the last couple of hundred metres which where it was sheet ice !! Runs from Tete de Linga and Tete du Geant where superb. Finished the day with a run through the Stash which was fun. Got a few pics which will follow shortly.... It was also quite cold today so the snow was holding up well even quite low down. Looking forward to tommorow. |

| About 15cm was reported to have fell yesterday, so probably 30cm in some areas. Champery boasts 130cm up top which is unbelievable for April. |
