April never fails to deliver for us. Whether its been Whistler, the PDS, Chamonix/Argentiere or Zermatt. Always had great snow and usually get a nice tan as well. |

| Exactly the same week - it was the freestyle camp last year as this year when it never stopped snowing for a week. |

| There will be plenty to do then still. We were in a similar boat last year with a big dump towards the end of March, though earlier than this one I think. When it gets warm in April things start melting scarily quickly, but I reckon on the 11th most of the ski area will still be open with good coverage. |

£180?
Just paid £270 for 7 nights catered chalet in Morzine, flights and transfers.
Going 5 - 12th.
Plenty of snow at the moment, but you can get the gondola or bus up to Avoriaz. |

Access to Avoriaz is pretty easy, when I went there we went to Avoriaz 3 days out of 5. I stayed with Oopalley in Chalet Le Timeris. Room was good, shared areas weren't great, ski bus stops literally at the end of the drive.
Was good, cheap and cheerful accomodation.
Ate out most nights, Le Grillon (near bottom of super-morzine lift) was good value and excellent Pizza and Tartiflette.
No idea what snow will be like in April. Although I think it dumped there recently so that should have topped it up nicely. |

Thinking of getting out for my last few days of this season, the 11th / 15th April, flying to Geneva.
Which resorts are close - within 2hrs ?
I've had an email from Oopalley in Morzine, with good deals on accomodation for those dates.
I know it's hard to tell but generally will there be any snow knocking aboot in Morzine, i read it's quite low, can you easily get up to Avoriaz ?
Or would you reccommend another resort ?
If anyone fancy's it = Luton - Geneva - Fri 11th April Easyjet Geneva - Luton - Tue 15th April £100
Accomodation self catering £80 for 4 nights
3 full days and 2 half days on the snow |
