Hi,
You can try Ski Hiver, most of theirs are in Peisey Nancroix, however Chalet Bellecote (which somewhat confusingly is actually called something else when you turn up!!!!) is based in Plan Peisey and is 30 seconds from the main lifts.
We took the whole chalet this Jan and they did us a really good deal and we ended up paying for 10 people and getting the remaining 6 spaces free!! The hosts we had were fantastic, and the food was brilliant as the guy was a fully qualified head chef so he managed to conjour up the most amazing food out of the ingredients/budget they had.
They also kindly baked a massive birthday cake on their day off for my other half. |

Thanks for the recommendation Earth Tremor - sounds like just what we're looking for to be honest. Was looking at the Mont Chavin one of the two anyway
Plissken, thanks for your input too... would be lovely to afford a nice room in Rders Palace, looks amazing! Doesn't have to b Les Arcs/La Plagne no, just where I ended up going for based on the limited info on accommodaton I could find.
We've never done this before you see, basically we want 7 nights, catered chalet, somewhere with a mountain and snow If you can recommend any chalets else where I'd love to hear from you! |

Freaks, the pair of ya.
Unless you're going at Xmas/New Year's, or Feb half term, then there's no need to book now. Just book the week off work and see what's available nearer the day.
Chill Chalet sounds good, but I would strongly advise against travelling from Bourg every day. Definitely stay on the mountain.
Also, does it have to be Les Arc/Pa Plagne?
If not, look at flights to Geneva or Zurich (no baggage charges with BA or Swiss), and stay at one of the indie chalets in Morzine, or even get a multimedia double at the Riders Palace in Laax. |

Waiting till a few weeks before isnt really an option for me to be honest... I'd like to do that, but maybe I'm too much of a control freak - I like to know whats happening so I can plan!
As far as the flights, as far as I can see (we're limited for airlines flying from edinburgh/glasgow) easyjet still works out cheapest at currently roughly £150 return for 2 people (including boards as well as regular luggage) The other airlines have been about that price each!
I even looked at the snow train... thought that might be fun, but when we add the cost of getting to London its WAY WAY more expensive.
Thanks for the advice/info so far though, keep it coming |

Wait until a few weeks before you go.
Went to Mayrhofen this year for first week of march and paid £250 for 7 nights B+B, which included flights and transfers too. Booked 3 weeks before flying.
Easyjet will try and get as much money as possible out of you. Think it's around £30 for a board bag (which is classed as 'ski', yes), and then you've got your normal luggage to add as well. Read the full terms though. |

The price seems OK - you could get a bit cheaper but generally you get what you pay for
with regards to discounts - ask. I have found if you don't ask you don't get
book your boards on as skis, normally you can get 2 boards in 1 bag, take 1 set of bindings off and put in the bag , should also be able to get away a pair of boots and then stuff the bag full of other stuff like socks, gogles etc.
I don't know the current rule with easy jet, they al seem tochange their minds every season but there will be a weight limit on your board bag, some times its 15 kg sometimes its 32kg - read the small print
A tip also is to turn up early and be really polite to the check in staff - its amazing what you can get away with if you are pleasant |

Ok so I'm finally in a position to think about booking a snowboarding trip for myself and my boyfriend, but I have a few questions first and thought this would be the best place to ask
First off... We're looking at Chill Chalet's place in Montchavin in La Plagne, for a week at the beginning of march. This works out at £385 each, fully catered. Is that a good price? Having never done this before I'm not sure. Also - I don't want to sound cheeky asking but - does anyone know if Chill offer a GB Discount? It was here that I found the details for their chalets.
Next questions are about travel: Looking at easyjet for flights to Geneva - obviously if we have our own boards by that time I know we'll need to add them on - does it come under "Skis" as there is no option for snowboards?
And lastly - can you fit 2 snowboards in one bag? plus how much other stuff?
Thanks for your help in advance guys,
I'm pretty excited already and havent even booked!
