right now im using a jvc everio 30gb hdd camera and its excellent i wud reccomend getting the sony handicam 30gb tho it has better optical zoom on it and digital. opticals whats important digitals crap most the time on all cams.

if your using a mac you need some mp4 converting software there are free ones but there a bit shite i use www.mp4converter.net for mine it works a treat

I have been looking at camcorders/bullet cams for a while now. The Oregon Scientific- all in one approach- is a terrific idea but, unfortunately, gets poor reviews for video quality and (to a lesser extent) for the durability of the camera.

For ease of use, the helmet cam is probably the best idea but it is fiddly and expensive unless you already have a compatible camcorder. Like a lot of other things, you get what you pay for

Had a look at the new SD card camcorders? Cheap and mega light.
Not sure about the spec but cheap!

Personally I've found a small Canon Camcorder works well.

I have used a Mini DV camera before aswell - Pretty good, easy to carry, but the quality on a proper camcorder was better. (Was looking at a Sanyo handheld one last year - Someone posted a review I think, last season?)

Also, if you can get a Camcorder with a DV in (check this out I could be wrong?) you can attach a "bullet cam" to it for when your riding.

You should be able to get a good deal in the sales.

Merry belated christmas and a happy new year to you all!!

Im looking at buying a camcorder for my next boarding trip at the end of the mouth and have got no idea what im doing, so was hoping i could get some help from you guys.

basically i want a small compact camcorder thats not gonna break the first time a fall on my a*se! looking to spend no more then £200 and will be looking to edit the footage after!

any suggestions peeps??
