i've heard austria is more expensive, food & beer....

i think i'm definitely set for L2A for the summer, i mean it seems the most reasonably prices and will cater for me and my lil bro standard of boarding, plus it doesn't look awful and we don't really have anything to compare it to specifically. i did look at Saas Fee tho and Kaprun so perhaps check those out too.

My advice about Les2Alpes in the Summer would be to give it a miss.......It certainly has a decent park set up later in the summer but there are far better summer areas, namely in Austria.

There is a few english lads run a hotel there, web site ......http://www.sickandthementalinn.com/

Good prices and good fun place, I would go earlier in the summer season as better snow and quieter but park not always complete. Mid season get very busy but park is bit better and late season snow gets black and very wet!

You can use swimming pool with ya pass, there is a golf course, paragliding, tons of mountain biking, rafting and high ropes park

Give the people at the tourist office a call or e mail them. Tell them what you want and some dates. They're usually pretty helpful as long as you politely ask "may The best bet for you would be an apartment .

Grenoble is the nearest airport but Lyon is almost as close. I don't know about transfers. If there a few of you you may find a car rental much the same price.

The 2 alpes website probably has the ski pass prices. As for the boarding, the queues are not too bad but it really depends on how much snow cover there is. In a good year there is plenty of space but if conditions are poor everyone is forced onto fewer pistes. Think of it as a hol with some boarding rather than out and out boarding. If your are into mountain biking then there is masses to do. Most lazy sods just spend the afternoon by the pool which is included with certiain lift passes. Take a look at the 2 alpes website.

Hello again, A few friends and I are looking to go to L2A this summer. However, we're students and therefore we're poor.
I'm looking for any advice on whether its cheaper to try and book it ourselves, go through an agent etc or just any money saving tips.
Also it'd be good to know general prices of lift passes, transfers from whichever the nearest airport is? etc
I've read the reviews and it sounds like long queues...are the long queues and money spent going to L2A really worth it considering how little time gets spent on the mountain in the summer. And what summer activities are there to do in the afternoons?

edit: Accomodation? know any cheap ones?

ANY help given will help u get into heaven. thank you
