As the boys said below. If you run your hand over your board (when you think you've finished scraping)you will feel if there is any excess wax left on it. You may feel a clump in a certain area where you haven't scraped enough. If so, just scrape that area, give it a quick buff and you're good to go.

There should only be a very very thin layer of wax, basically you scrape it until you can't get any more off!

Just started waxing my own board but not sure how much wax to remove...
Does leaving more on mean it'll last longer or will it just slow you down?
