You have to pass recreational to be able to use them. You'll often have to take lessons and they'll pass you once you're up to standard.

I saw two people pretend to be at this level once. They got their hire boots and boards and went to the top of the slope. Strapped themselves in rather awkwardly. Then zoomed off dangerously down the slope. They got in everyone's way and ended up being escorted off.

Ten minutes later they were back but taking lessons.

Morale of the story? It might look easy but it's fricking not!

If they've never been on a board then they will need lessons before they can join you...and you wont be able to sneak them on and teach them yourself coz you'll be spotted and thrown off again.

fortunately i'm not so bad, but just never been to a dome before, and wonder about taking people who've never ridden at all.

You have to be able to control your speed, use the buton lift and links your turns. Basically you have to know enough to be safe. They won't test you on this but if they see you can't do it you'll be chucked off the slope with no refund

How do snowdomes work, in terms of ability, do you have to pass a test, or can anyone just jump onto the slope?

thnx
