It all depends on everyones abilities and interests...
I just spent the last few days riding with skiiers and boarders...we all liked to do the same stuff...and we could all do it and there was no major waiting around. Great fun
Anyway - if you find your with people who don't want to do (or can't) do what you want you'll always find someone on lifts/bars/pistes who does. |

QUOTE (tuxpoo - 19/08/2008 @ 07:38:11) if your happy doing skiing type terrain, (straight lining hardpack reds/blues, moguled blacks) then your fine. But if you want to do more boarder type things (mess about just off piste. jumps. trees) then you will quickly be left on your own. Tux Ditto - 8/10 decent skiers are always left behind in deep powder....
They are brilliant for following you off kickers with a camera though - much more stable straight lining.
Good luck! |

Skiers and boarders have vastly differing agendas and learning curves.
Unless they are very experienced skiers they will not go off piste like intermediate boarders. They take ages to get to the level where they can go through powder on skies.

Done a few of these kinda trips, and have had very few issues... they either leave me behind whilst traversing or on flats... or I leave them behind when I'm gunning down a hill wrecklessy at ??kmph! Again, if it's one of your mates, you're gonna have a good time regardless. You've all got the common interest of coming to the place together to have fun |

hello all, I think any ski company to tag along with is great! I like to get there and go off on a few side trips of my own, but just get me there first. I like some boarding and cross country too.
British Columbia and Alberta have some good spots. |

| Holidaying with skiers can be great, but it depends a bit on what they want to do. I’ve been with skiers who just want to hit moguls all day. I don’t mind doing moguls a bit, but it’s just not the same on a board and I’ve ended up going off on my own after a few runs, just to do something more interesting. |

Any chance you get to hit the slopes you should take - Doesn't matter if your going with skiers, bladers or toboggn-ists.
Also, the more bods in your party, the merrier. |

| Most of my family ski. I am a bit of an exception, although Mrs FB has recently learnt to snowboard. I have had a couple of holidays with just snowboarders and these have been great fun, but would more than likely have been the same whatever was strapped to their feet. |

| I have no problem when on piste etc! my only experiences with skiers is when sister in law has taken us down cat track that actually went up hill, solid ice and I ended up with concussion * always wear a skid lid kids* |
