Had one and sold it, very similar to watching an old Charlie Chaplin movie, i e no sound ,well there is but its crap. When i put it on my helmet took it took nice pictures of snow 2 meters in front of me,but was hoping to catch my kids.In the end just held it in my hand.Picture quality is ok in bright light .

Cheers Kuan, I aint on the biggest budget and the price and wirelessness ( if thats a word ) of the atc2000 appeals to me

There is also a couple of threads on the diy kit helmet cam which seems to have better resolution, although you will need an expensive £250+ camcorder with remote lanc and av-in. See PaulM's website
This is the route I went down however buy the helmet camera first and lanc remote first then take down to jessops to test with a suitable camcorder before buying online from quidco.com followed by your 4% cashback on everything on your capitalone credit card - it's gonna be expensive (2)

Generally the market seems to be improving with larger manufacturers following the new trend as seen here: (3)

And then there is a new waterproof/shockproof all rounder in the form of memory card recorders or waterproof camera's (sanyo xacti or olympus mju 790sw) (4)

Aight guys, im looking at this helmet cam for xmas, atc 2000. http://www.actioncameras.co.uk/ATC-2000.html

Just wondering if anyone has got one and could let me know if its good for capturing snowboarding, advice from anyone is appreciated.
