QUOTE (boardup - 07/04/2008 @ 14:30:58)

there is a campsite on the way up to Kaprun on the left hand side, heated floors in the shower area...very nice..maybe a mile or 2 to the base station
we stayed in late May, still VERY cold at night...!...but great conditions on the glacier..

You wouldn't have any idea what it was called would you?

We've found a nice looking one in Zell am See which is next to the lake which the wife likes the idea of. Seeing as we'll have the car the a short drive to kaprun each moring might not be to bad...

I did find this one in kaprun...would this be it?

i am going to have a few days on Tignes glacier in Aug as for is it any good, well it gives you a fix better than a dome can give you but its not the same as riding in the winter unless you go purely for the parks that is

I think its going to be about £800 for the week split between 8 of us

the lift passes are E150 (i think)

the ferry is cheap at the moment at about £52

i think about 3 tanks of petrol there and the same back + tolls.

all in worked out about £400 all in split between 3 for 2 would be more expensive on fuel.

there is a thread on scuk about it.
