Agreed!
People with flows that sit on their bums in powder need the stupid gene removed.
I find strapping in in deep powder easier with flows.
Its just education.
There is one issue I do have with flows. The highback cannot be rotated. This makes any angles +20 difficult.

| We were hiking several foot of fresh in Laax last week and watching the one guy with us who had flows trying to strap in was painfull.......they have their places but in freshies really isnt one of them! |

A point very well made there dj 
I've always been a fan of riding with whatever you're comfortable riding with. The only ballache I can really see with flows it the problem of strapping in when you're actually on a gradient. They're absolutely superb and fast when you can stand up on a flat..... slot, flip, ride!! However when you have to tilt the board when at the side of a run (in a safe and visible place please people), you can't get the backs down to tuck your foot in easily, you have to try and stand up, wedge your board in somewhere so it doesn't disappear down the slope. But with strap bindings then you just tuck the straps away, slot your boot in place, buckle up and away you go. So in my personal opinion, with the right pair of bindings, strap bindings are a 'little' less hassle free, for the sake of a few more seconds at the top of the slope.

What's with all the flow haters??? What's with all the flow defenders? 
Give whoever that guy is some straps and I'm sure he'd be just as good, if flow didn't pay him to use their product he probably wouldn't.
I just said with my experiences (aka binding not holding foot in binding - pretty big thing for binding to mess up) flows weren't as suited for park.
Jeez, give JP Walker or whoever some flows and he'll still throw down, but that's pretty irrelevant to most people because they aren't that good. |

| i had flows before and they were great... pulled off my first 360 (fs) with flows on. i have drakes now with loads of forward lean and i get em really tight and that makes the response incredible. i'm looking at getting the nxt at and a pair of "the one" boa focus next. i'll be interested to see how they compare |

| i dont have the flows myself but my mate does and i borrowed his board once!! theyr pretty good! for some reason i had to put more effort into turns sometimes, or atleast it felt like that (maybe i was just a bit rusty.) but generally pretty sweet!!just took a little bit of getting used to!____i dunno what all the flow hating is about! |

Had a customer out here earlier this year with the K2 Cinch bindings and the complete highback cinch unhinged whilst riding....
Needless to say he wiped out bigtime....
Perhaps there are some fine tuning adjustments that could stop this from happening; however the initial group consensus was negative.... |

I bought flows when i first bought my own equipment. Can't say i ever had any problems with them.
I have now bought some ratchet type bindings, mainly because it is possile to release the pressure on the front when my feet hurt (i have annoyingly high insteps).
I shouldn't be so bothered about whether your bindings are freestyle or not- it's all in the mind! |

Ok so i had my flows a few years ago now, before they introduced the mini ratchets, so i'll give you that one.
The main problem i had with them was that once i had adjusted the strap to the right point, i then had to take my foot out and crank it a couple of notches tighter so i could get the response. problem then was getting your boot back in and getting the high back up! This is something that the mini ratchets did not solve.
I also found the foward lean adjustment i bit hit and miss, and of course you can't adjust the highback rotation. Maybe the newer models are better and i should try em out. I really did like the speed and conveinience of them.
This is why im looking at the K2 Cinchs, cos they seem to have all the conveinience of the flows without all the problems, but maybe they have a load of problems all of their own? |

Had new P1 bindings, the straps were a bit stiff and my boots were at the upper limit for the size so it was a struggle to get the rachets to bite. Not to mention I was so unfit/fat that it was a struggle to reach over the beer belly 
I have resolved to be trim and fit for the next trip like I was on my last one 4 years ago. |

lol you know it, if you are racing for pow then you can take no longer than 2 seconds per foot 
I've got to 2nd what jibmonkey wrote, I used to rate my Amp 5s but the first time I tried ratchets everything felt so so so much better.
I'm not gonna say you can't ride park with flows, you can pretty much do anything with anything, but after my experiences I'd say they are much less suited to park riding.
I kind of get the impression Flows are on the decline now anyway, when they first came out there was a lot of fuss but now I hardly see anybody with them. |
