European Car Hire...
01/07/2009 @ 11:50:22
Just want to know if anybody knows of some reputable car hire (screen scraper type) sites
In particularly ones that include One Way charges (i.e. pick up/drop off in different cities?)
Or alternatively, does anyone have any promo codes/ loyalty points / or corporate rates to get good value car hire.

Cheers Matt.
Particularly interested in the All inclusive price - that includes one way drop off charges - often these are payable locally and sometimes you can get stung by the Language barrier etc..

Just checked the card I have an basically it will only get me quicker service so I can rock up and just grab the keys rather than getting all my docs out. No chance of any discounts or anything. What a load of rubbish. Sorry mate

Have you tried
Travelsupermarket
?
Holiday Autos
usually come out at a decent price as well.

Sadly yes, have used Holiday Autos before (whilst it worked out ok)- They are not the best price and sometimes add on a lot of extras when you collect the car. Read a couple of reviews for Carhire3000 and have now been put off using them - the Hertz website doesn't seem to like the works computer - Europcar you can't get a quick quote, without entering all your personal details - enough info for someone to steal your identity.
ArgusCarHire is another that I'm tempted by, but don't have any experience of using them.
RhinoCarHire?? Never heard of that company before?
EasyCar - doesn't allow you to specify a different collection/drop off location.

My folks use Argus car hire for whenever they hire a car from Geneva (usually for the summer holiday) and have had no issues.
I use Holiday Autos whenever we go away and need a car as Claire gets discount through the NHS. I always pay the excess insurance as I don't trust any car hire places. Holiday Autos tend to use Hertz.

Cheers Pete, thats good enough reason for me to trust the argus car hire chaps. It seems they include the drop off at different location fee in the quotation.

I've used Argus a couple of times as well and they've been fine
