| I had 2 weeks on snow when i bought my Palmer Liberty. Was a little difficult for the first snowdome trip as it felt very stiff in comparison to rental boards, bought soon got used to it. I've done about 10 weeks and had the chance to try out quited few boards and don't feel that i need to get a new board, definetly haven't even come close to having reaching it's limits. Haven't tried the Touch, bnut knowing how slow the base was on the Jade i'd want to see reviews before buying as i don't know where the bases get good on them |

My girlfriend learnt on a burton cruzer + the tamworth snowdome boards. She won a Jeenyus The Broads at the our camp ladies night but its a bit too stiff. She rented a decent Ride Verona in Tignes and loved it so much she bought one from the states and had it shipped over.
She loves her Verona but was also looking at a K2 Va Va Voom which has excellent reviews |

I learnt on a Ride Vista which worked really well for me .... and they pretty much always have nice graphics! 
I've heard the Burton Feathers are pretty good for beginners but I've not ridden one myself.

I'm a beginner chick looking for a board also. I borrowed a friend's Burton Cruzer on the weekend, which was fine, but I think I want something with a bit more longevity for my progress, which I think is going pretty well, and hell, am I loving it.
This is the first place I've really seen anything written about the lady Palmers, they seem difficult to find any feedback on - is anyone familiar with the Palmer Touch? Looking for any other 'forgiving' board recommendations also - the volume of options is confounding! |

| think it pretty much depends what standard you're at really doesn't it? don't want to be advised for a pro board if you are a beginner and similarly you dont want to be advised for a beginner board if you have been boarding for a while! i have the Capita saturnia which is a beginner/intermediate board not used it much as its only a recent buy but i do love it! |

The True women's boards are excellent (one is called the "Passion", not sure on the others) and the graphics look cool too.
My partner loves her True even though she broke her wrist whilst on it for the first time this year!

| My wifey rides an old Tara Dakides pro board and that seems to rip everywhere. Guessing the new O-matic Tara board will still be a good allrounder. |

I'm not sure anyone can give you any meaningful suggestions with no information. How good are you? What style do you like to ride (ie pootling on piste, jibbing around, big kickers, hooning, backcountry etc)
I've got a Palmer Liberty which has served me well for the past few years and has been a good all round board for me and will be hopefully for at least another couple. i've also tried the Salomon Ivy Era which i really liked and next years Ride Tokidoki which i enjoyed. Hated the Palmer Jade (god that things sloooooowwwwwww). |

I'll add another vote for a Burton.
My first board was a Rome Vinyl which I just couldn't ride hard, it was far too soft for my liking. So I saved up the pennies and got a Burton Feelgood ES (from SS20, who are brill).
The Feelgood ES is fabulous 
Oddly enough, I went down a few runs on a Feelgood (not the ES version) and I didn't like that, the ES held an edge better than anything else I tried, is stable, and I'll wuss out before it does. 
Everyone's different. Go out and try a few different boards to see what you like. |

I would heartily recommend the feelgood too! had mine for just over a year now, and I love it so much!
One of the few things I'd run back into my house for if it was on fire....

I had a Ride Vista for about 3 years which I totally LOOOOOOOOVED, but since getting a new Burton Feelgood my riding has improved about 1000%!
So it's a Feelgood all the way for me |

My mrs has a rome vinyl and loves it - great all round board for everything.
Previously had a burton feelgood which she also liked.
She did demo a feelgood es last season and I had to drag her away from it she loved it so much!
She's starting to have a board collection to rival her shoe collection! |
